Super Mario Bros Mini
A remake of SMB1 made in GBStudio.
You can also download the ROM and play it on gameboy color!

The game contains all the world and levels from the OG game.
It also contains a second quest that contains 8 additional worlds
with new levels, themes, a new powerup, new bosses and more!
There is also a randomizer mode.
level selection, second quest and randomizer mode can be accessed in the main menu by pressing B.
PC Controls:
Up = ArrowUp or W
Down = ArrowDown or S
Left = ArrowLeft or A
Right = ArrowRight or D
A = Alt, Z or J
B = Control, X or K
Start = Enter
Select = Shift

This is AMAZING! I am super impressed with how accurate this is to the original. The new levels are really fun too. Great work with this. This is a must have for any Mario or Gameboy fan!

Hello, i have also run into an Error. World 4-4 directly before i see Bowser while running towards him.
I did not cuz I am not playing on a gbc
I broke it going into the pipe at the end of level 1-2
I do not own a gbc

Very fun. I've never gotten to Bowser in the original, but I got to the water level on this version.
It's lovely to be able to see so much of the level. The original GBC game cropped the view so close you were forced to make leaps of faith.

How can you olay it in a gameboy
you would need to load it onto a flash cart, they will usually run you about $15 US and you can load all sorts of gb homebrew off of them
Edit: so it turns out the prices i was looking at were for nds flash carts, a gbc flash cart is more like 30-40 usd

this is such a good project, but i wonder if you can add cheat codes like game genie or selection like inf lives, inf star, etc. i feel like it would have been better if you did this on the gba, but idk if you couldn’t or could. And could you add some features from super mario bros deluxe? Thanks
Nice! But I got problems on my Analogue Pocket. I'm not able to change the randomizer mode or the level selection...

This might sound weird, but I always liked the music chip for the GameBoy rather than the NES. Whenever I play SMB Deluxe, I always liked the music more.

Trying to run this on an Everdrive GB X7 but get the following error: Error F3 FAT error. Other ROMs work fine, this is the only one I'm having trouble with. Would love to play
What's the refresh rate of the game? feels like horizontal scrolling isn't matching the screen refresh rate of the GBC (59.7275xxxhz). Game is so good though, awesome job!
